1. Comparative Adjectives
Comparative adjectives adalah kata sifat yang digunakan untuk membandingkan dua objek benda. Bentuk dari comparative adjective adalah dengan menambahkan akhiran “r/er” untuk adjective yang terdiri dari satu dan dua syllable (dua suku ucapan), dan menambahkan”more” di awal sebelum pennulisan kata sifat untuk adjective yang terdiri dari tiga syllable atau lebih.
2. Superlative Adjectives
Superlative adjectives adalah kata sifat yang digunakan untuk menunjukkan manakah satu dari sekelompok kata benda yang “paling”. Misalnya manakah yang paling baik, paling buruk, paling cantik, paling cepat, dan lain-lain. Bentuk dari superlative adjective adalah dengan menambahkan akhiran “st/est” untuk adjective yang terdiri dari satu dan dua syllable (dua suku ucapan), dan menambahkan”the most” di awal sebelum penulisan kata sifat untuk adjective yang terdiri dari tiga syllable atau lebih.
3. Pembentukan Comparative dan Superlative Adjective
