Teks deskripsi (description text) adalah sebuah teks yang memberikan gambaran tentang suatu hal, benda, orang, dan lainnya kepada para pembaca. Dalam penulisan teks jenis ini, ada beberapa hal yang harus diperhatikan, yaitu seperti penggunaan specific details. Apakah yang dimaksud dengan specific details? A. Penulisan Teks Deskripsi

Dalam menulis sebuah teks deskripsi, kita diharuskan untuk dapat menggambarkan seperti apa sesuatu, seseorang, sebuah objek, atau sebuah tempat yang akan kita tulis.

Untuk dapat membuat sebuah teks deskripsi yang baik, terdapat dua hal yang harus diperhatikan yaitu sebagai berikut:

  1. Penggunaan space order untuk mengorganisasi tulisan deskripsi
  2. Penggunaan banyak detail deskripsi

B. Penjelasan tentang Specific Details dalam Teks Deskripsi

Salah satu hal yang harus diperhatian dalam penulisan teks deskripsi adalah penggunaan specific details. Ketika kita mendeskripsikan sesuatu, kita menggambarkannya bagaikan menggambar dengan kata – kata. Tujuan dalam penulisan teks deskripsi adalah membuat para pembaca ‘melihat’ apa yang kamu deskripsikan.

Salah satu cara untuk melakukan hal tersebut adalah dengan menggunakan banyak specific details. Specific berarti pasti / jelas / spesifik. Lawan kata dari specific adalah terlalu umum / kurang jelas. Semakin sesuatu digambarkan secara specific, para pembaca akan semakin baik dalam melihat apa yang kamu gambarkan dalam teks deskripsi melalui kata – katamu.
